stress tess is a Brooklyn-based DJ exploring the hypnotic edges of techno and psychedelic dance music. Her long-form sets move patiently through shimmering minimalism, pulsing rhythms, and deep groove, creating immersive soundscapes that invite listeners inward. She is a founding member of Vortex, the collective behind Area X, a New York party series devoted to cultivating intimate dance floors and expansive states of listening.

dj33L

dj33L is a DJ and organizer based in NYC. A product of Brooklyn’s DIY music scene, he seeks to contribute more ways in which we can hold space for each other and advance our shared journey of understanding and self discovery. dj33L is drawn to hypnotic and minimal techno as the foundation of his sound, also shaped by hardgroove and punk influences. This manifests as warmth, spaciousness, and intrigue in thoughtful narrative arcs.

Formosa

Formosa is a multidisciplinary Taiwanese-American DJ, artist, and designer who performs as "formosa" and as half of regular Pittsburgh queer party and music duo, Jellyfish. Behind the decks from Pittsburgh to New York, Toronto, London, Mexico, and Taipei, you can expect their sets to range from driving italo to electro, acid house, drum and bass, breakbeat, minimal, and more. Formosa will take you on a journey through driving bass lines and syncopated rhythms, sprinkled with playful melodies. You can catch their sets on SoundCloud, at any Jellyfish party, and at your local discotheque.

Bubbling and growling hypnotic and energetic techno.

The Body brings their legendary, heavy, and innovative music to Pittsburgh. Their unmistakably singular sound is known for its monolithic force, inventive production, and deceptively nuanced arrangements. The Body has produced a wealth of groundbreaking collaborations and benchmark albums which have changed the perceptions and directions of heavy music.

Devoted to the evolutionary essence of Black Dance Music, Jin & Juice approaches the decks with curiosity, sensuality, and intention. Weaving club anthems through house and ghettotech with a vision that will hit every corner of our 4-point floor, she has brought her unique sound to spaces like Rinse France and the Carnegie Museum of Art. If you caught her 2023 Honcho Campout set at the Grove, you already know what’s in store.

PVKVSV [pah•kah’•sah] offers a rare live set to the void. Co-running Pittsburgh Open Decks and curating Brewery Sessions at Jackworth’s Ginger Beer, PVKVSV is the kind of artist who’s spent years holding space for others to experiment. This night it’s his turn, and we have no idea what to expect.

Gusto’s sound is shaped by the underground house and techno he was raised on, and the reggaeton and dembow that surrounded him growing up Dominican-American in the Bronx. A resident DJ and booker at Hot Mass who also runs DETOUR and MISC, Gusto carries those roots into Pittsburgh’s scene.

Joining us from Orlando, Putrid Fauve brings a mindblowing showcase of noise performance art. Drawing from harsh noise, ambient, and industrial, it's work unfolds in a theater of the formless—conjuring primordial instinct, ritual violence, and sacred decay. Sound becomes a poetic gesture of violent imagery.

Supporting will be a fantastic cast; Chien Maudit, (Putrid Fauve collaborator and fellow Orlando-native) and local legends Negligible Wound, Farrah Faucet, and Some Pepper.

This is for all queers, from the goth girlies to the crow’s feet daddies. It’s only a murder when we all get together (slay). And while not a strictly costume party, we applaud your untamed drag and scarecrow realness.

Chicago-based hyperpop, hip-hop, and electronic artist Fraxiom will be performing as part of her The Adventures in Question tour, fresh off the release of her debut album The Adventures of Jester Jackalope. Fraxiom is also known for her collaborative work, including as half of the duo Food House. Fraxiom's new album showcases, as Ringtone Magazine put it, "a wicked mix of high energy hip-hop and dance music put through a hyperpop blender."

Supporting will be Columbus-based Detatchi, self-described as a producer and vocalist making hyperpop, emo, and digicore music for trans girls and furries.

Visuals for the show will be provided by Pittsburgh's glitch art sweetheart, the one and only Nasty Taxi.

Doors at 7:30, music starts at 8:00
